Join a Roo with a PIN
The exact steps players follow to join a live session — and how to make joining smooth for a whole room.
Joining a live Tikroo session takes three taps and no account. Here's the flow, and how to keep a big room moving.
For players
- Open tikroo.com/join in any phone browser.
- Enter the PIN shown on the main screen.
- Choose a nickname and join.
The PIN is unique to the session you're running right now and is shown on the join screen the whole time players are arriving.
Make joining smooth
- Show the PIN large and leave it up. People arrive at different times.
- Read it aloud once, and point to the tikroo.com/join address — some people miss the URL and only catch the PIN.
- Wait for the count. The join screen shows how many have joined; give stragglers a moment before you start.
- Same network isn't required. Players join over their own mobile data or your Wi-Fi — either works.
Common hiccups
- "Invalid PIN" — almost always a typo, or the session was restarted (a new session has a new PIN). Re-read the current PIN from the screen.
- Nothing happens after entering the PIN — usually a weak connection; ask them to try again in a moment.
