Use the moderator device
Run a session two-handed — a second screen at /moderate mirrors your controls without touching the main display.
Big sessions are easier with a second pair of hands. The moderator device is a phone-sized control rail — open at /moderate — that lets someone help drive the session without disturbing the main shared screen.
What it's for
The person on the main screen keeps the room's attention on the questions and results. The moderator, on a separate device, can:
- keep an eye on who's joined,
- help advance and reveal at the right moments,
- and manage the flow while the presenter talks.
It's a second-screen companion, not a takeover — the big display stays clean and focused on the game.
How to use it
- On a second phone or tablet, open /moderate for the session you're running.
- You'll get the moderator rail: session status and the controls to help pace things.
- Coordinate with the main presenter — one of you talks, the other keeps the machinery moving.
When it helps most
- Large audiences, where watching the join count and the room at once is a lot for one person.
- Fast game rounds, where a dedicated hand on the controls keeps momentum.
- Workshops and classes, where one person facilitates discussion and another runs Tikroo.
The moderator rail is designed for a larger session with more than one activity — for a quick single-activity poll you won't need it.
