Create your first Roo
Build a board from scratch — add activities, set questions and answers, reorder, and save.
A Roo is built one activity at a time in the editor. Here's the fastest path from blank board to something you can present.
1. Start a new Roo
From My Roos, choose Create a Roo. You'll land in the editor with an empty board and an Add activity button.
2. Add your first activity
Select Add activity and pick a type. If you're not sure, start with a Quiz question — it's the most familiar format and a good way to learn the editor.
Every activity has the same basic anatomy:
- a question or prompt at the top,
- answer options or an input for players,
- and settings on the side (timing, points, media, and how results are shown).
3. Fill it in
Type your question, add the answers, and mark the correct one where it applies. Add an image if it helps — see Add and crop images.
4. Add more and reorder
Keep adding activities to build out the session. You can drag activities to reorder them — the order in the editor is the order you'll present in.
Tip: alternate pace. A couple of quiz questions, then a poll or a quick game, keeps a room engaged better than ten questions in a row.
5. Save
Your Roo saves as you work. When you're ready, head to Present a Roo live to run it, or keep editing — nothing goes live until you present.
