Present a Roo live
Go from editor to a live session — show the PIN, let players join, and move through your activities.
Presenting is where a Roo comes to life. You drive from one device (usually connected to a projector or shared screen); everyone else joins from their phones.
Start presenting
Open the Roo you want to run and choose Present. Tikroo switches to the presentation view and shows a join screen with:
- the address tikroo.com/join, and
- a PIN for this session.
Put this on the big screen so the room can see it.
Let players join
Players go to tikroo.com/join, enter the PIN, and choose a nickname. As they join, you'll see the count climb. Wait until the room has settled before you begin — there's no rush.
Move through your activities
You control the pace:
- Advance to reveal the next activity when you're ready.
- Players answer on their phones; live results appear on the shared screen.
- Reveal answers, show the leaderboard, and move on.
Because you drive manually, you can pause for discussion, re-read a question, or skip ahead — the session waits for you.
The "Get ready" gate
Some activities — especially games — hold players on a Get ready screen until you start them, so everyone begins at the same moment. See Presenter controls & the Get ready gate for the full picture.
Presenting solo or with a co-host
Running a big session? A second person can help using the moderator device, a phone-sized control rail that mirrors your controls without taking over the main screen.
If something drops
Wi-Fi hiccups happen. Tikroo is built to recover — see Reconnecting after a refresh or dropped connection.
